We work with our products from seed to shelf. Our CBD is grown organically in Europe at our 300 acre farm, we extract the CBD at a GMP, HACCP certified facility where we produce 99% CBD isolate and broad spectrum (THC free) distillate as the raw materials for our products. We manufacture our white label products at our laboratory at the Innovation Centre in York Science Park.

While there is no minimum order quantity on our white label products, purchasing 10 or more units at once will start saving you money.

Yes, we offer quantity discounts based on the number of items you order. Simply put, the more you order the lower the price. For orders larger than our standard discounts please email phil@cbdsupermarket.co.uk for a personalized quotation.

This is something we get asked a lot! Depending on your brand and marketing strategy, you may find that some products sell more than others. For our own brand, HempWell, we find the CBD oils, capsules and gummies are the best selling edibles – we sell all strengths equally, and the flavours sell in almost equal percentages as well. On the topical side, the Cooling Cream and Muscle Balm are our best selling products. However, one of our customers who is beauty treatments led, sells more body butter and massage oil than any other product, so you need to think about your target customers.

This is entirely up to each individual, but we started HempWell with 10 products, which seemed to be enough to make the website look busy. We then added 2-4 products per quarter as we built up our customer base.

Yes, this is our express service. Just order the products and we can ship the next day. We can send the Certificate of Analysis and Labelling Guide for each product, just email us or put an note in the order form when you check out.

Yes, this is our Full Service. Just click label design and label printing under the product you are ordering and we will design, print and attach the labels for your brand. See the Design & Printing FAQ section below for more information.

Yes, we manufacture all our own products at our own laboratory.

We have offices and laboratories at the Innovation Centre in York Science Park. The Innovation Centre is on the University of York Campus and you are welcome to visit anytime. For reference our post code is YO10 5DG.

Yes, we are very thorough with our production facility to ensure it meets the highest quality standards. We are HACCP and SALSA certified and follow GMP standards for production. Our production certification should allow you to sell your products in most high street retail chains for example. Our facility is also Nut and Dairy free.

Yes, we love doing bespoke product manufacturing and we probably work on 5 to 10 new products each year for clients. This year we have already produced a menopause support capsule, a hangover supplement, a high strength CBD cream for acne and a CBD pet product for a chain of veterinary clinics. If we need to do some product research we charge a daily rate for lab time to confirm product formulations.

Our CBD comes from our own Hemp Farm in Bulgaria and is from organically grown hemp. We know everything about the plant such as soil and water analysis, seed type and cannabinoid profile. Our hemp seed oil is organic and sourced from the UK. Our organic MCT carrier oil is from Germany and specifically formulated to have the highest absorption rates of CBD. We use food grade flavourings and organic cosmetic bases.

Yes, we can produce CBD pet products on a white label or private label basis and have done so for many clients. We can produce the CBD oil with pet friendly flavours like salmon, or can make capsules/biscuits. You need to check the legal status of CBD for animals as this can vary from country to country.

The UK and European FOOD STANDARD AGENCY’s decided in 2018 that concentrated CBD was a novel (new) food. Although this has been disputed by many CBD business groups, it now means that CBD has to go through a rigorous testing program to ensure its safety as a food. In 2021, UK companies that were manufacturing or retailing CBD in the UK had to submit a detailed application to the FSA to show they were undertaking the required tests to prove CBD is safe and no longer a Novel Food. Our Parent company Hemp Well Limited submitted a full application and all our CBD products are now listed on the FSA website as approved product applications.

There are no approved products yet, but companies that have successfully submitted an application to the FSA to show they are undertaking the testing program have been allowed to remain selling their products in the UK. All our food products are on the FSA list. When CBD is approved and no longer a Novel Food, all these requirements disappear. For example, Chia Seeds were considered a Novel Food when they first became available in the EU. They went through the safety testing process and once approved can be sold freely across the UK and Europe by anyone.

Novel Foods only applies to our Food Supplement products. CBD cosmetics can be freely sold across the UK and Europe.

Yes, the FSA have said that only concentrated CBD is a Novel Food; unconcentrated CBD is deemed to be not a new food, meaning it has a history of consumption in the UK and Europe, therefore it can be freely used and sold in the UK. We have unconcentrated CBD extracts available for our customers if required, please contact is for further details.

Yes! At CBDSupermarket, our in-house graphic designers can help you bring your vision to life. All we need from you is your chosen logo, and we can do the rest, from design and application to printing the finished labels! You can find out more about our design services here. We always send our designs for review and amendments, and if you need a logo we can help with that too. We can also design boxes and other packaging.

Yes! We work with a number of excellent specialist printers who produce high quality labels, boxes and other print materials. When you are starting your own brand this is one of the more expensive areas. As most people are aware, when you use a professional printer, the price per unit dramatically drops as you print more. Most of our customers would print 300+ labels per product (as its only a fraction more than buying 100 labels) even if they only bought 10 products from us. A great service we offer, is that you can keep your labels with us and then in your next order you just need to buy the products and we will send them to you with the labels applied.

Yes of course, just use our Express Service which is for products only. The products will still have a batch code (normally on the bottom) but no label. You can then apply the label yourself using your own designers and printers. Make sure you ask us for our labelling guidelines after you have placed your order.

CBDSupermarket offers a range of fulfilment services including product storage, pick & pack, and shipping. We are able to store your products under ideal conditions for maximum quality and our pick & pack services means you can have your orders packed to your requirements; for example with additional packing media such as wrappings or leaflets. Anywhere from just a few days to several weeks, depending on your requirements. If you are just buying products only without labels, then many of these are in stock and can be shipped almost immediately. For white label orders with design and printing services, please allow time for the completion of artwork as well as the printing and label application, which typically takes around 2 weeks (but can be done in tandem with manufacturing).

Great question, and there will be better experts out there than ourselves. We started with our websites on the Shopify platform and also tested Wix. Shopify was great to get started – very simple to set up with little IT experience required. However, when our business developed we wanted more features and this became expensive in Shopify so we moved our websites to WooCommerce where you have a lot more control. We are happy to discuss this with our customers, just drop us an email.

Payment processing should be simple…but it isn’t! We have used 7 different payment processing companies over the last 5 years and are happy to advise our customers based on their requirements and our experience. We can set up an account for you directly with our Preferred Payment Processor, just let us know. This is often easier as you will need to submit a lot of documents to the payment processor (some you will need from us) but our preferred processor already has all these documents from us directly, making the process much easier.

Yes we can, we have built and still manage nearly 20 websites that we own, and have built many for our customers. It is not our core service, but if you need some help then we can offer this service and we are good at it! All our customers have been thrilled with their websites with several becoming high income businesses.

No you don’t need a license to sell CBD in the UK and most of Europe. There are some things to be aware of such as making sure your labelling is legally correct, your cosmetic products are registered, and you are aware of Novel Foods.

Yes, by law all cosmetic products available for general sale in the UK or Europe must be registered on the UK or EU cosmetic database portal. To register a product you need to have completed a Product Safety Data Sheet which may require some product testing in an approved laboratory. You will also need to submit your product label, ingredients list, and contact details. We have tested all of our white label cosmetic products, and our registered Cosmetic Safety Consultant can prepare the Safety Data Sheet in your company name. Claire (our compliance officer) can register your product for you. You can select this service under each product and the process will be completed in approximately 4 weeks.
